Gray is not at all interested in having his humans put at risk by being near this drakul. Night is also less of a threat to humans (theoretically at least) than Yuri and Dru. Also unlike Gray, Night has no emotions, and no real awareness of the world or connections to others. The new drakul, which they call Night, is unlike Gray in that it’s not in a living body.

This story follows closely on the heels of Stalker of Shadows, opening at what seems like the next morning and picking up on two key storylines and revelations from the previous book - the new drakul and the secrets from John’s past. I am an enormous fan of this series (I read the entirety of season one in about 3 days), so a new installment is always a thrill. I need it now!īringer of Night is the second book in season three of Jordan L. I’m really looking forward to the next book. In Gray’s case, also to eat any threats if necessary. The one good thing is, no matter what, Gray and Caleb, as well as Zahira, will be there with him, for him. Then there’s the fact that everything John has ever known seems to be a lie. They find themselves having to work with Night to catch the NHE, and it does not go smoothly, to say the least. 😂 Later though, John gets to the bottom of this and it’s a bit more wrenching than I expected.īecause our guys can’t catch a breath, ever, another NHE is terrorizing the city and this time, it seems to be personally making Caleb and Gray a target. Personally, I like him, and I particularly like how snarky Caleb is and how *dare I say it?* sulky Gray is with him. Since they have to call him something, they settle on the name “Night”. They’ve finally had a chance to “interrogate” the strange drakul from the last book, and boy neither Gray or Caleb is liking him at all! Zahira 😍 has joined them in NOLA to investigate this drakul and she’s loving being able to ask the questions.

captivating, charming and Lord knows hot, while still being the fearsome drakul that he is? Well, I've said it before, that’s just JLH’s particular brand of magic. While all of these book-people are my favorites, to take an entity as “other” as Gray and make him not only sympathetic but absolutely.*God, Gray would hate this, LOL. The plots are interesting and damn exciting and the characterizations are just phenomenal. *Except for John being sad 😢* The world building is amazing and the writing is excellent. There is never a single thing I don’t love about it.
